Week 6

We started the testing phase! The concept we pitched to the client has to be tested on its functionality. Therefore the game- and interaction designers planned some days in where they tested the influence of sound on people.

Behind their laptops they produced some irritating noises. The test persons gave us feedback that the monotone sounds were the most frustrating ones.
The designers also tried to let the testers notice that when they approach each other, the volume of the noise would lower. They also tried to evoke touch of both testers to get rid of the noise.

The assumed interaction was evoked on both aspects. But the feedback we got was that the testers didn’t knew how long they had to touch each other to really get rid of the noise. A feature we had in mind as well.

So we received some interesting results out of the tests that were done.

We also had to search for a hardware developer. Someone who can fulfil our wishes on the technical aspect of the toy.
This is a difficult task. Because all of the developers that study at the HKU are already taken.

We have to seek outside the school. To find people who are able to help us.
